Device Software or ‘Firmware’

Firmware is the ingredient that makes our devices ‘smart’ handling communication with the cloud as well as performing real-time data processing. Languages include:

Communications

To enable our devices to communicate, we rely on a number of physical connectivity and communication protocols:

Bluetooth - SanCloud
Wi-Fi Devices - SanCloud
Zigbbe - SanCloud

Used for exchanging data between our fixed and mobile IoT devices over short distances

Operating on the IEEE 802.15.4 specification, we use Zigbee to create secure networks for low data rate transmission and low power consumption between our IoT devices

IEEE 802.11x over the air interfaces including compliant public WiFi services and Wireless Intrusion Prevention Systems (WIPS)

Thread - SanCloud

Operating on the IEEE 802.15.4 specification, we use Thread in the same way as Zigbee

Using the GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou systems, our IOT devices assure tracking precision in asset tracking applications across the globe

SanCloud offers 2G, 3G, 4G, and will offer 5G cellular connectivity in over 190 countries across over 500 wireless carriers

IoT Platform

This is where all of the data from devices is received, retained, managed, processed, analysed and displayed in a user-interface via a PC and/or mobile app. Our customers can choose to use their own incumbent platform or select our own which can be custom configured to their requirements. Our own platform is a cloud-based system comprising of a web-based portal and mobile app. The system supports over 170 GNSS protocols for over 1500 models of GPS/Galileo/GLONASS/BeiDou IoT and tracking devices.
