We continue to see exponential growth in the IoT services market with experts predicting revenues to be double that of the IoT hardware devices. Expectations are for the IoT industry to reach up to $11T in economic value by 2025. However, growing a services business within the IoT ecosystem has many challenges due to numerous functional and IoT security concerns amplified by the multitude of silicon components, software applications, operating systems and device-to-cloud data transfer protocols.
If you’re pursuing IoT connectivity and services offerings – whether as an IoT device manufacturer, solution or service provider, there’s a new paradigm from Micron and Tata Communications that streamlines the process at scale.
In this online conference, SanCloud along with many other respected providers will discuss important trends in IoT security and services and share their insights. This will also include a live demo utilising the Oasis SmartSim and Micron Authenta™ SPI-NOR integrated into the SanCloud BeagleBone® Enhanced SBC.
The agenda for the half-day is as follows:
Authenta – Enabling Massive Deployment of IoT
Kris Baxter, Corp. VP and GM of Embedded Business Unit | Micron
Digital Transformation – The Rise of Edge Computing and The Role of IoT Hardware and Cellular
Tri Pham, Chief Strategy Officer | Tata Communications
Cyber Security: The Key to Achieving IoT’s Enormous Potential
Rick Clemmer, Chairman | Privafy
How We Enable Massive Scaling of IoT Connectivity and Services
In this demo, the Oasis SmartSim is utilised – a ‘virtual SIM’ managed in the cloud with its access keys stored in a Micron Authenta® SPI-NOR device. The Authenta™ Key Management Services (KMS) has the challenge-response built into the silicon. The result is a unique level of protection for the lowest layers of an IoT device, reduced component costs and no expenses associated with the insertion, removal or replacement of Sim cards. IoT device owners will also be able to activate, manage and switch between cellular carriers across the globe using over the air (OTA) updates.
SanCloud has provided the hardware support to enable the development of the technology and offer design and integration services of Authenta.
Fornetix, Micron, Murata, Nanolock, NetFoundry, Privafy, SanCloud, Tata Communication and Oasis SmartSim, Teltonika Networks, TrustiPhi
