Director of Sales & Marketing
Carl is a non-executive director holding responsibility for the company’s strategic sales and marketing function, developing plans and actions in support of SanCloud’s brand and growth targets as well as using customer insight to inform product development. Carl is also responsible for the development and implementation of SanCloud’s management systems, including an ISO9001:2015 compliant Quality Management System.
He brings to SanCloud and its customers extensive senior sales, marketing and product development experience gained from director-level tenures and senior consulting roles with a number of global technology businesses.
In his most recent tenure, Carl collected the hotly contested Best Integrated Sales & Marketing Strategy in the UK Enterprise Awards. He has also led several winning regional and national major award applications for efforts in the fields of manufacturing excellence, international trade and product development including the Made in the UK Automotive Award in 2018, held and contended by Jaguar Land Rover.
Carl has led UK, US and European sales and marketing programmes – working with automotive supply chain companies, 24 car manufacturers, 6 motorcycle manufacturers and their franchised dealers. Clients include Alfa Romeo, BMW, VAG, Toyota and Lexus.
He is passionate about IoT and the diverse ever-changing nature of his profession. He thrives on meeting the variety and complexity of customer needs and positive customer feedback received. He’s a qualified Chartered Marketer and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (FCIM). Alongside a CIM Professional Post Graduate Marketing Diploma, Carl holds a BA (Hons) degree in Business Management.
Carl has 3 kids and if he’s not with them, he’s working. Either way – he’s always drinking coffee.
